Today’s topic will be “Education in Korea and Why You Should Thank Your Lucky Stars You Are Not A Student Here.” Or simply, “Education in Korea: Sophia’s POV”. Now, sit up straight and get out your pen. I’m going to quiz you later. Remember my cousin Yoonji? I [...] GARRGH!!! The internet at where I’m living right now is driving me CRAZY! Who would have thought it’ll be so hard to find internet access here in tech-savvy Korea? I’m about to go crazy, because there is nothing to do here and I’m just stuck at home with no Internet and bad TV. [...] My Korean name is “So Hyun”. And my Chinese name is “Su Xian.” You know my English name: Sophia. Guess what? All of them mean similar things. The “So” and “Su” in my Korean and Chinese name means “intrinsically” or “naturally”. And the “Hyun” and “Xian” has many definitions, but one of them is “wisdom”. [...] |
