Terra Chip Giveaway WINNER!

August 22, 2010

in giveaway,USC

Hey guys! I hope you’re excited. It’s time to reveal the winner of my Terra Chips Giveaway!

I’m not a person who likes to tease and tantalize and make you click on several links before divulging the winner, so I’ll get straight to point. I used Random Integer to pick the winner, and it picked…
Picture 1
…which means the winner is…

LE QUAN from Luv To Eat!

Congratulations, my dear girl! Aren’t you glad you asked if the giveaway was open to Canadians, too? ;-)

TERRA Giveaway Image 2010 Now, my day isn’t as exciting as winning 4 bags of Terra Chips, Terra Coupons, a Martini-style serving bowl, and a Summer Entertaining Guide…but tomorrow is my FIRST DAY OF CLASSES for the Fall semester 2010, and I’m super psyched.

I’m taking a 18-unit semester so I’m kind of gonna die, but at least all my classes seem interesting, all except for one (Can you guess which one?):

  • Intro to Digital Photography— Fine Arts
  • Newswriting: Print— Journalism
  • Newswriting: Broadcast— Journalism
  • Advanced Modern Chinese— East Asian Language & Cultures
  • The Water Planet— Geography

If you guessed that Geography class, treat yourself to a cookie. God I hate science classes (sorry to all science geeks and majors out there). But. I might be surprised. I might actually like the class. Point is, I’m gonna keep an open mind. And try not to skip any classes. Yup. So gonna happen.

Be back soon with an update! :-)

Question of the Day: Which was your LEAST favorite subject in school?

Aaack! I won! I won! Thank you muchly for checking if this was open to Canadians and replying back to me. Thank you for the win and hosting this giveaway Sophia! I’mma run out and get me a nice big bucket of ice cream now. Why a big bucket? Cause I don’t think a small one would last until I get my tummies ;-) .

Hope you have a great first day of classes tomorrow girl! The first day is always so exciting. Way to keep an open mind with the Geography class. Good luck with all your classes!

Got so excited, I forgot to answer your question. I hated social/history. Anything to do with politics and you lost me. Ok I’ll quit spamming you now (sorry). Have a great night!

I have never been a math/science type of person. Luckily I’ve always had pretty good profs when I had to take those kinds of courses, so they made it bearable!

It seems kind of odd that I’m not going to university this year. Finishing school feels great but also strange! Your journalism classes sound like they will be awesome.

Your newswriting class on broadcast journalism sounds so interesting! Are you taking it at the Annenberg school? I remember when I was applying to colleges, I visited USC and did the tour at Annenberg because that would have been my preferential school (within USC I mean).
My least favourite subjects: almost any math or science course…ugh.

Congats to LeQuan…if anyone deserves to win something it is her. She is one of the nicest bloggers and commenters around!

I detested biology. I seriously hated it with a passion. I never did excel in the sciences and that class literally killed my GPA. I’m still bitter.

I guessed right!;) I really don’t like geography either, but hey: water is important:P

I am SO jealous of your classes! They look majorly interesting and I can’t wait to hear all about them…having said that, I am pretty happy/excited about starting my art course in a few weeks time. Full time art = pure bliss :-)

You are so lucky. Full-time art. You know what you’re passionate about, and you’re being able to do it. It’s such a blessing! :-)

Sophia darling! I think I may be heading up this weekend – it is still tentative, though. How are you?

I think you will be surprised – Geography isn’t really your typical science class.. at least not in high-school. I bet it’s actually really interesting. I know I loved to learn about the weather, water and planet’s natural resources… but I am a total nerd. o_o

My least favourite subject is MATH. I’m alright at it, but I really have to work at it and it’s not fun for me at all. I took advanced functions in high school and I don’t really plan on taking any others beyond it… I was floored when I passed with a sixty-five! Yikes.

Good luck tomorrow!! I am so jealous, I want to be in school SO badly! Scratch that.. I’m not jealous.. I’m happy for you :P

congrats to the winner! and i didn’t really ever have a least favorite subject in school — i am an uber nerd and love to learn no matter what. even assignments that i dreaded doing because they were “hard” or “scary” ended up being alright because the rush of finishing them and being accomplished was AWESOME. so yes. i am a nerd. but proud of it :)

I’m jealous of the winner! Maybe she’ll split the giveaway prize with me?? haha, wishful thinking ;)

Your class schedule looks nice and full. The Water Planet class sounds really fascinating. Maybe you can post some info from that class, I love learning about geography (although when I was in school geography and HISTORY were my least favorite classes!!). Living with Nick has made me appreciate both of those more (because I feel stupid I know nothing…).

MATH was always my least favorite subject by far. Thank God I don’t have to take it in college!

I just read your last post, and it made me think about what my own father went through during my eating disorder. Your posts always have a way of making me reflect on the deepest rooted issues of my eating disorder, and how to overcome them. It reminds me that while I try to tackle those issues every day, I don’t pray about them nearly enough. Thank you for helping me to start my day on the right foot!

Congrats to the winner. I think my least favorite class would have been gym. I was never a fan of the typical team sports. I did karate, horseback riding, ice skating and gymnastics, and none of these we ever did in high school gym class. In fact, the highlight of middle school gym was the unit on gymnastics because for once I was good at what we were doing and people wanted my help. Oh, I did play lacrosse, and I loved it, and was on the team in HS. Probably was the only time I played a team sport. Ok fine, I was also a cheerleader, but I am not so sure that is a team sport (I’d say 1/2 the time).

I know you’re trying to be optimistic, but I would NOT like that geography class. The rest sound awesome though! It’s going to be a great year…I feel it.

I like the sound of all of your classes! Maths was a killer for me though…and I wasn’t too fond of P.E, mostly due to unflattering kit and relentless bullying. Actually, whether I liked a subject or not mostly depended on the teacher: I once had a really lovely maths teacher who actually managed to bring me up to an A-grade before the one I had in the following year totally destroyed my confidence again.

You’ll be brilliant at all your subjects because you’re just annoyingly gifted and talented like that :)

Congrats to Lequan.

I am quite the opposite. Love science and math classes and hated the rest such as Geography, History and Literature (yucks!)

You’ve got some interesting classes this semester. I remember taking a business class one time and I didn’t really like as much. Let’s just say our teacher wasn’t the best for that kind of thing.
