Aaagghh so I read the entire menu per your suggestion (because reading menus is like looking at porn- and I do it in my free time ) of Doughboys, you were so right! I wanted everything. And I didn’t even look at the lunch menu, strictly breakfast. Since I am a breakfast loving gal. Gah. I love all the cute little places in LA like alll over the place. I think LA gets a bad rep for their food, but it seems like there is always someplace to try or some new trend coming up in the food world!

I loved what your dad said about this “Don’t tell the Lord how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great the Lord is!” So so so true. I remember as a kid my dad always prayed before our day for the family, and at night my mom would pray over me before I went to bed, and never did they complain about something when we were sick, they always put the emphasis on the fact that God had already healed me. Like there was no way for those bad guys to get me anymmore. Great post! XOXO

So cool you touched on prayer–I remember my mom always telling me as well that prayer isn’t just when you need/want something, but it’s a relationship you have 24/7. If only everyone knew that and would relish in a relationship with God. Stating it on your blog is a great way to reach out!!

It’s sad when good restaurants close down, but hopefully the Doughboy’s second try will be a hit!

Cheese – glorious cheese! The only part of french onion soup is the cheezy bread on top – yum!

Not a huge fan of tuna, but my hubby is – I plan on recreating your tuna melt for him!

I remember driving by Doughboys and seeing that it was closed down. My Dad was devastated because it was one of his favorite places to lunch… I guess he enjoyed keeping company with the rodents.
No need to apologize for including religion in posts more frequently. While I’m not religious I love reading about other people’s faiths. I guess maybe I hope I’ll soak some up like a sponge if I read it enough or something. Who knows?

Your Dad is a very wise man! That menu is INCREDIBLE I want one of everything. We dont have places like that in my neck of the woods, you are a lucky woman! p.s. my fav soup is French Onion too!
