Of course we can be friends. While everyone is entitled to have their own opinions, I do appreciate how you are willing to sample things that are new to you and vegan (we all dont live off of bean sprouts hehe. i love me some bbq chikin!)

Im vegan and I have been for about a year now. I went vegan because I cant stand the use and mistreatment of animals. Plus I also did it for my health. Vegan food products contain far less fats and harmful toxins. I follow mainly a macrobiotic/whole foods diet but I like my baked goodies too!

Apology accepted- I’m just happy you’re still open-minded and willing to try vegan foods. They’re really not so weird!

And to answer your question, I went vegan after finally doing some research about animal rights and finding out the truth about what I was eating. Since there are just so many cruelty-free alternatives, I don’t see any reason to continue the vicious cycle.

LOVE what you said all through this post. I so get where you’re coming from with the maturity, and the open-mindedness, and perspective. And to think we’re still growing up, and maturing. That thought is crazy to me. I’ve learned to just go with the flow. Everyone eats the way they eat for a REASON, and I have had a hard time letting go of other people’s habits and comparing it to mine. I used to do that all the time, but now I focus more on myself, what I need, and what I actually want. And Sophia, I’m happy to say I’ve had pizza twice in the past two days. My two favorite pizza spots in Tucson, and I was soo satisfied and thankful I did. And fabulous blog pictures that came with it.. hahaa.

I’ve been wanting to get the babycakes cookbook so I can spend all my money on bags of gluten-free flour and alternative sugars Honestly though I think I would be one of those going ga ga over places like that lol All those products look mighty tasty and addicting! I’m not vegan, but I respect the choice/decision and like to incorporate that way of eating on occasion to add variety.
