Been working on three major essays and three news articles— So excuse me as I become totally random and incoherent in this post. My brain is fried and all I can think of is, weekend…my precioussss…weekend…
Anyway. Exciting news for tomorrow: My 24, 24, 24 proposal to Foodbuzz has been chosen for this month! So please be sure to tune in tomorrow…I assure you that it’s going to be a terrific experience, but I’m not going to reveal to you what it is exactly, yet…Okay, fine, one little hint: I will indeed be cooking…but not the way you’d imagine me to. 
Another piece of random information: Sometimes, when you’re feeling stressed out, the most relieving form of entertainment can be spying on the Stats Counter of your blog. Especially the keywords people typed to randomly find your blog. Here are some that cracked me right up:
Anyway. These are just a few of the crazy things people look up on when they have nothing else to do. Oh, and now this may seem rather random too, but I promise you, you’ll understand why I included this when I post my 24, 24, 24 submission tomorrow: I’ve learned that when eating school campus food, stick to the fast-food chains. I do wish my school offered better food besides fast food, though. A couple of days ago I went with a friend to dine at Galen Center, which is apparently one of the “better” dining options in USC, tailored specifically for hungry athletes. If you know the Trojans, they sure give their star athletes the special royalty treatment, so I had high hopes on the quality of food here. My friend Yoomi and I decided to order two different dishes and split it so that we can taste both dishes. Here’s what we ordered: Yuck. If this is how USC feeds its athletes, no wonder we lost the game last Saturday! (And don’t get me started on that, I thought the Trojans NEVER lost!!) So. From now on I’m just sticking to Carl’s Jr. Dear old Carl’s Jr. I never knew I would find you so endearing… And yet another Carl’s Jr burger… That one wasn’t as good, so the next time I stuck to the Teriyaki Burger again: URGH! I think I can be a food snob sometimes, but my dirty secret is that I do enjoy my fast food. Who doesn’t? It’s cheap, tasty, and full of MSG and crap. Yay! 
Look, it’s even set up like a ESPN zone or something. 
Chicken salad with chipotle-ranch and avocado. Side of fresh fruit. 
BBQ chicken burger with fries. 
The chicken burger was tough, stringy, and dry. The fries were okay, but it’s hard to mess up on deep-fried potatoes. 
The chicken salad sandwich? Honestly, I don’t even remember how it tastes like anymore; it was that forgettable. Totally, completely, eye-rollingly MEH. Tasteless. Boring. Total waste of my time and energy even to chew on this thing. It’s all digested and pooped out by now though, so I’ll forget about the blah experience. 
Teriyaki Burger: Charbroiled 100% All-Beef Patty, Teriyaki Glaze, Grilled Dole® Pineapple, Two Slices of Swiss Cheese, Red Onion, Lettuce, Tomato and Mayonnaise on a Toasted Sesame Seed Bun. 
Jalapeño Burger: Charbroiled All-Beef Patty, Jalapeno Peppers, Pepperjack Cheese, Sliced Onion, Tomato, Lettuce and Santa Fe Sauce on a Toasted Sesame Seed Bun. 
Yum. I’ve been craving burgers ever since I visited Umami Burger. Who knew I was such a carnivore? *Licks chops*

Hmmm, this is pretty tough question Sophia. But, is Tofu house (Korean) count? I now that they have a few restaurant around my area. Not sure if this consider fast food either, because everything they make is fresh, and always come out steaming hot!
I don’t really eat fast food. It’s not that I think I’m too good or something. I just tend to pack lunches and eat dinners at home. I DID work at a Hardees and a Subway (random, I know) in my hometown a few years ago. My favorite fast food is The Ultimate Death Wish aka McDonald’s….because I love their fruit n yogurt parfaits. Their burgers aren’t bad either if that’s what you’re looking for. However, I would never feed my daughter that poison on a bun. But, I grew up loving it! I guess my parents didn’t know then what I know now…thank you Supersize Me.
Wait does Panera count? That’s my choice if it does!
ahahaa. i love looking at the stats counter. mostly my blog is attached to the words ‘primark’ (uber cheap clothes store. i spend a lot of time here.) and ‘girls in leggings’ (which would be me.) yours are hilar.
i have to say, the food might suck but i love the way that the center is layed out like a footy pitch. awesome. you gotta love a themed place.
i don’t like fast food. okay, i DO (omg, MSG love!) but the ethics and the fact that there are no vegan options kinda eliminates prettay much everywhere. however i was partial to a veggie burger from macD’s back in the day, followed by a chocolate donut.
(we have so few fast food places in the uk. its laughable.)

I KNOW! i’m sooooo lame on the exciting food front! but no worries. beans will not be featured a lot in a while (i.e. NO MORE CANS IN THE PANTRY!) OMG YOU LOVE MANTOUS TOO!? i adore mantous. we used to dip them in sugar and eat them sunday mornings before church! yep, i go to church!
mine are a toss up between pita pit and cafe rio, love them both! it’s a bummer that the food ended up being no good, but i’m like you, i still love my fast food! here’s to a great weekend!

oh and to answer your question about the foodbuzz fest on my site – i don’t think i will be, but ironically i will be in the bay area that weekend for movie promotion stuff….maybe i can meet some bloggers!
As much as I dislike fast food in general, it is true that it is always reliable. Whether reliably good or reliably bad, at least you know what you’re getting yourself into when you eat it! And yes cafeteria food sucks, which is why I stopped eating dining hall food after sophomore year. You would think they wanted you to be eating better so that you could perform better in school, but that never seems to quite be the case.
I think my favorite fast food chain is Chipotle. They have awesome burritos.
What is it they say about a picture speaking, how many words. There sure is a difference in “real” food and THAT!!! I’m not much of a fast food diner but if I was, I’d have to go with Wendy’s. Why? Those “shakes” of theirs. I can’t even remember what they’re called LOL

Baja Fresh is my fave fast food chain. Burger place would be In and Out because I can order a cheeseburger sans burger lol

My fave fast-food chain might have to be Baja Fresh. I love — yes indeedie — the freshness of the ingredients. It’s more California-style Mexican food. Their salads are incredibly good.
We are Carls Jr. fans, too. I always get the chicken club…quite good!

I only eat fast food once every year or two! I haven’t eaten fast food since 2008. Unless Panera is considered fast food. I usually get a Big Mac or taco bell when I do. I’m way over due for my yearly Big Mac! Your article was great! Can’t wait to see your Foodbuzz post!
