Malaysia food porn…

So as promised, here are some glorious pictures of the food I actually ate in Malaysia…Soooo greasy and rich in gravies and sauces but I enjoyed every bite!

Lunch at Kuala Lumpur, top left clockwise: sambal mussels, sambal kangkung (my fav!), curry fish head (oh…my…god…) and sambal sotong! Sooooo delicious, I thought I had died and gone to heaven…Can’t believe I survived 7 years without this! Both my parents and I dug in like there was no tomorrow…

The plants you see often here: Venus Fly-trap (the weird-looking tubey plant with a lid…It eats insects! The insects are attracted to the sweetness inside the tube, falls in, and the chemicals in the tube digests it! Isn’t that so interesting?), papaya tree, banana trees!

My favorite fruit besides durian…MANGOSTEEN! Check out that white flesh! Sweet and fragrant like a baby’s bottom! Don’t you just wanna bite into it!

Food in Korea, from top left clockwise: mussel soup and side dishes, mussel porridge, mussel pancake, pork kalbi roasting, Korean milk (which is SO different from USA milk and SO good), omelette rice (called omu-rice), Jajang myun (black soybean noodles, the famous Korean-Chinese food)…

Forgot to take picture of the famous chili crab until we’d finished it, so just had to make do with a picture of the shell…But everyone, this is the way to eat a crab…drenched in oily, thick spicy gravy…muhaha!

Yup, good stuff, good stuff…I’ll post pictures of the food I ate in Korea soon too.
